"Γ†thelred the Unready" They didn't mince words with the monikers for the early kings of England. We should really bring this back for powerful leaders.
Apartment Design Chronicles (Continued) I'm working on improving our apartment. We've lived here for 18 years and are not going anywhere probably for 18 more. So, thinking deeply about making it a better space is worth it. On the subject of kitchens I have a burning question: Why are stoves so big? Honestly, why is everything so big? The oven, the stove the fridge. They are all massive. But with the fridge there are small options and because of it I use less energy and have more storage.
On thing that drives me nuts about interior design advice is it doesn't start from the non-negotiables often enough. For example I don't think I'm that strange or remarkable for owning about 800 books. I know a lot of people with more. (I have SOME restraint) But if you look for design ideas for books it's not like "here is where you can put all those books" it's more like "get these fake books for this look" --or it's "design a home library." my brother in Christ WHERE.

"The Bruce" is a remarkable little Natural History and Art museum in Greenwich, CT. If AMNH is a five course meal, with three course dessert and brunch the next day. The Bruce is a bento box. Delightful, not overwhelming and a perfect day trip from the city. The ant exhibit had many, photographs, dioramas and models. Children and adults will find lots to enjoy. I only have one small criticism. The castings of the ants nests need to be numbered so you can identify which species they belong to.
If you are interested in purchasing or evaluating the quality of hand bound books here are some of the things I look for as a sign of "high quality" 1. Look at the "headband" this is the place where the pages meet the spine. A headband can be hand sewn, glued, or some combination of both. It's where the skill of the bookbinder really shows. Is it neat? Does it seem durable? Do you like how it looks? 2. Look at the spine. Spines can be flat, rounded, they may feature sewing in some styles.
I don't know why it's surprising that most bi/pan people end up with a partner of the opposite gender. Most people are straight. It's just math. Really it's more remarkable that so many bi/pan people *don't* find such relationships. I suspect this is because one wants to avoid homophobic and trans phobic people. And while most of them are also straight, it's not as big of a proportion.
The Bible says having 11 ants in charge is too many and 9 is not enough. We all know there are ten command Ants.
