This morning we sent a complaint v Ireland to the European Commission Ireland has appointed an ex-Meta lobbyist as its new Data Protection Commissioner. The process lacked safeguards against conflicts of interest and political interference. This will be interpreted by the tech industry as a signal of impunity.
