Steps
Add fat:
Pour avocado oil or clarified butter/ghee into a pot or pan.
Heat it:
Let the fat heat for about one minute.
Add kernels + spices:
Add the popcorn kernels, then immediately add 1 teaspoon of turmeric and salt.
Stir fast:
Quickly stir everything with a wooden spoon so the spices coat the kernels before popping begins.
Cover and pop:
Place the lid on and cook normally until popping slows.
Finish with warm spices:
Sprinkle black pepper and ground cumin on top, along with a little organic cheddar powder if available.
Taste for salt:
Check the salt level — add more if needed.
