Kind of a little test here to mine !HBIT
I don't play these [ahem] "predictions", but only a less than 1-in-4 chance a shutdown takes place? In order to avoid a shutdown, a series of things must happen: Congress meets, Republicans and Democrats meet, they talk, they propose, they counter, they argue, they reject, the make the other side sweat, they bluster, they get back together, they talk and counter and bluster, then wait, then get back together, they maybe talk and maybe make another temporary extension. This before Janiary 31 and the click is ticking. Only 23% chance? image
I find it neat that I can type the command !HBIT on Nostr, then a series of things happens: 1. The note automatically gets bridged over to the Hive blockchain via the @Hostr @Hostr bridge 2. On Hive, the command initiates the @Wusang bot 3. One HBIT is mined (0.9 to me, 0.1 to either Snaps or Waves short form front ends) 4. A random number is generated in Wusang which may award a bonus "treasure token" or a hidden ecash cache of #bitcoin sats 5. Not to mention that the Nostrdon bridge auto-posts the note to #Mastodon as well.
Jan. 1 I did something I've never done in my life: snuck into a secluded pond with wife, did a polar plunge to start the new year. And did it skinny dipping-style to boot! Gonna be a good year. (Full disclosure: wife chickened out because bottom of pond was "mushy" and it actually wasn't that cold, but still.)
Cozy and warm in the hothouse. image #gardening
It always amazes me how light it is on snowy nights. This is looking out the window, no artificial lighting no camera or after effects trickery,, hours before sunrise. image .
Testing pigeon Write now, post at set time in the future.
That time of year.
Gold is great, but this is so true. Too bad there's no way to quickly send a provably scarce resource's value to anyone, anywhere in the world, without fear of it getting watered as an alloy, stolen, or sinking to the bottom of the sea. Oh, wait... View quoted note → #bitcoin
