Those who want the OP_RETURN to stay as it is say, "Let the free market decide which bitcoin software to use, Core or Knots. If people choose to use Knots, the free market has spoken against Core's blockchain bloat and data storage. The free market has spoken by voting with their feet." To me, both seem to say the same thing: let the free market decide. Am I wrong?
