Oregon’s new vax rules: Anyone over 6mo can get a covid shot and pharmacies can vaccinate anyone aged 7+. Actual reality: Our hospital still requires prescriptions, our pediatrics dept has no idea if or when they will get any doses, and no local pharmacy will vaccinate under 12s.
At least some of the time the RFK clownshow is too incompetent to do as much damage as they wanted to, but I wouldn’t want to bet on that as a long-term strategy for ensuing vaccine access. ACIP already reversed one of their decisions from yesterday, so.
every covid shot still feels like a goddamn miracle
Zip-tying officials doing oversight, like a completely normal country. RE:
welp
I think Bluesky has been clear from the beginning about what they were building and why. A whole lot of people didn’t take them seriously, or maybe thought they could be hollered into changing course, but I don’t think they have.
“But why can’t I pay per article??” Because you won’t. You think you will and that other people will too but you won’t and they won’t. People hate them. Sure, it’s all online and brainrot and complicated but on the other hand they’re just warboys, all of them. What a mess.
We coulda respectability politics-ed ourselves outta this one if it weren’t for those meddling kids
Oregon’s governor *could* have acted on this months ago with majority public support but is still “weighing options” so it’s back-to-school and no one can get shots—but she popped up to veto a desperately needed rural COW PREGNANCY TEST waiver with bipartisan support. The lack of seriousness. RE:
