I have absolutely no business thinking about the people who—before both Trump administrations but especially last summer—were like "Ehh come on, how do you even think Trump will even do anything?? We have guard rails. Be serious." and yet here I am, working my way through all the things, aflame.
I mean, never bet against opportunistic flocking behavior in response to the whims of power. (I suspect the weird quality of the Bsky Bad pieces is just radiating from X itself. Platform as deranged group chat. But I don’t have direct experience of the current dynamics there.)

I think that whole batch of extremely mid reporters publishing their Bluesky Is Super Icky articles in a drip over a few weeks was weird. Bad journalism is super derivative and I have no more persuasive theory, but idk. This round felt weird.
Great *official* user guides as video + really good text docs would be so useful. I am resigned to saying this on new platforms for the rest of my online life.
