Literally none of this stuff is easy to get right, both at first and over time. It’s all dynamic and difficult and there are a lot of competing principles. I am so glad to see good people trying.

1. There are communities on Bsky that understand themselves as communities *on* Bsky, and communities on Bsky that understand themselves (naively and otherwise) as the boundary-setters and discourse-deciders *of* Bsky.

Watching highly political people just now discovering why they call it a "culture war" and wondering why No One Is Talking About This and I am going to need smelling salts

Today's arguments include the trans healthcare care funding ban and other punitive Medicaid cuts.
"The most important Byrd meeting happens today. The Senate Finance Committee, which has all of Republicans’ tax and Medicaid priorities, will hold arguments in front of the parliamentarian."

Please call out the "gender-affirming care ban" or "trans healthcare funding ban." Don't assume "I oppose Medicaid cuts" will be heard as the ferocious support trans people need now from everyone who believes they deserve healthcare and safety. Oppose all cuts! But call this out, specifically.
