Preaching to the choir here, but ya'll need to stop feeding the monster and engaging with these influencers.
You're both angry and obsessed with them at the same time. The influencers are farming your attention. You think you are fighting the beast while you are actually feeding it.
You can end this by opting out and engaging with those who produce value. They deserve your attention.

This will be boosted by all the influencers 🤣
Even Nostr has ragebait. Touching grass helps fight the beast, too
Which influencers are bad though? Many I thought were good, have turned out to be limited at best.
No influencers are bad, but it is my opinion that their values are a bit "off." They seek fortune and fame for themselves while many of us purely want freedom for the masses.
And I'm not criticizing the influencers themselves, but rather talking to both myself and other plebs who struggle falling into the trap of engaging on social media rather than effectively building the future we want to see.
Or you can stop giving attention to the next shiney "leader" altogether and live life from your own vantage. It is not to say we cannot learn from others. But following men is not the answer.
Also, you've got a great name.
While I agree, there is a time and place.
For example, with Elon's Christmas debacle and then the censoring of quite a few large twatter influencers, it was a ripe time to drop that Nostr exists when they are likely to have millions of eyeballs scrolling through.
The influencer Industrial Complex is a siren's song, luring us in with promises of validation and connection, while distracting us from the real revolution: building a world where freedom isn't just a hashtag, but a lived reality.
Am I missing any particularly silly drama today that this is in reference to? 😂
A lot of people are annoyed at Podconf influencers whose goals are to have a seat at the table with the biggest names in Bitcoin. This happens all the time, but I think the latest drama was a reaction to The Great Gatsby Saylor party which appears to be the epitome of fiat culture.
Yes, silly drama. This energy could be used more productively.
blame the simps bro, they can't help themselves
