Equivocation is a logical fallacy.
Lazy vocabulary choices cause an uptick in suicide rates for a group that consists of hundreds of millions of people.
Those hundreds of millions of people have loved ones who care about them.
They have friends, family, jobs, neighbors, etc. who will miss them when they voluntarily "check out" because of the pressure that lazy vocabulary choices put upon them.
Speak more precisely and abide the Golden Rule.
I had a very dear family member kill himself, in part because of hostility he experienced for being openly gay in the 90s 🫂
