One interesting thing I've noticed now that we've adopted being able to put any of your lists as a feed in @nos is that it really uncenters the main ContactList.. In some ways it's really amazing, we get a google plus circles like experience. Do i want to see posts by nostr devs, tap that list, if i want my nos team, i can look at that, or the nos recommended users, or people i follow on bluesky or mastodon... I can put all the overly enthusiastic posters on a list...
But a lot of Nostr apps are built around the idea that ContactList is your primary way of calculating the social graph. Especially Nos, we particularly use it for things like mutes, content warnings, etc... By making my lists way more open, a web, then Nostr works really differently.
What's more, what would happen when it'd be easy to use somebody else's lists the same way?

This is how I use lists in Amethyst. I think a list browser would be nice too. Visit someone's profile and see their public lists. Top to browse. Tap to save/add it.
Would be a great tool for onboarding. Kinda like the starter pack
Idea.
Absolutely!
Public and Private both types of lists should be there. Because people may want to keep some of the lists private.
There is nothing stopping a list from being gift wrapped just for its creator. So you could totally do that.
Yes, lists are essential, especially going forward with more and diverse people joining Nostr.
Too bad that Nos is still iOS only.
@rabble , when web?
