If you look back, the state always wins in the long run.
They almost got away with it with Gavin Andresen (CIA), and that was one of the reasons why Satoshi disappeared along with the Wikileaks issue.
But now we look back and see that they've screwed us over completely; the entire Core team is compromised.

See the compromised Core devs who rejected Luke's PR that fixes inscription spam. They are the bad actors (the NACKers)
They revealed themselves with their public comments on OP_RETRUN being dishonest and manipulative.
The guys that ACKed are the good guys we have.
