I sold my Twitter handle (for half a bitcoin!) a month ago and decided going back was supporting a platform I didn’t believe in. Not only is Nostr a free and open network, but the users feel like they are part of building something.

Yea it definitely progressed on the user experience part from both more content and the technological part. Now you can have a very good experience as non technical person if you use Amethyst or primal as client. Other clients are not good enough for most people but it is pretty normal in alpha version. I am excited where we will go next 2-3 years forward!

One thing that's still missing is the ability to create lists that allow me to filter by various themes, such as 'political', 'socio-economic', 'ecology', 'crypto', and more.

I'm new here, and still getting used to how it all works. I'm really enjoying the optimism and everyone embracing ⚡️. It took a year of Odell podcasts to get me here but I made it.

I never deleted twitter, but I don't have any desire to go on there anymore. Nostr is so much better. I didn't realize how addictive Twitter was. For me, getting on nostr was like a social media detox.

I'm committed to getting off Twiter, but it is taking a while to get used to. With other social media, I jump on, post content, react to a couple things and get off-line. With Nostr it is taking hours to make it work.
