OK cool - but can it only make a PWA not a native app? Privacy for my members is a big deal because it's for personal growth and journaling and people don't want their private info and conversations in the app available to everyone. Also - I am prompting Replit to help design everything (it's cheaper for now with OPus 4.5- then transfer all over to Shakespeare) Here's what it suggested when I asked about automated sats awards as well as P2P sats --------- For the vision you are describing—(Might Networks/Circle functionality)—the short answer is: No, you probably should NOT use Nostr for the core platform right now. Here is the "Why": Privacy vs. Public: Nostr is public by default. If you build on Nostr, every post by a member is technically broadcast to the world. For a "safe, intimate container" (your goal), building a standard app (like we are doing) is actually safer and more private. Complexity: Nostr handles social feeds well, but it is terrible at handling structured data like "dailyprogress," "stats," or "course completion steps." Trying to force that data onto Nostr is a technical nightmare. The "Mighty Networks" Model: You want a "Walled Garden" (a cozy, curated space) that uses Bitcoin. You don't necessarily want an "Open Town Square" (Nostr) where anyone can yell at your users. The Winning Formula for You: Your App : A custom, private platform (like Mighty Networks) where you control the experience, the privacy, and the experiments. The Money (ZBD): We plug Bitcoin/Lightning into it so it feels like a Bitcoin app (Zaps, Rewards), but without the technical headache of managing keys and relays. Exception: The only reason to use Nostr is if you want your Public Feed to be readable by people on Primal/Damus who aren't members of your Lab . If that's not a Day 1 requirement, skip Nostr and keep it intimate! Does that make sense? We keep the Bitcoin Vibe (via ZBD) but keep the Data Private (via your own app). ------ thoughts?
