We launched YakiHonne on Reddit yesterday. First video hit 3k viewsβ€”then the account was suddenly suspended, no reason given.🀣 As the proverb says: β€œYou only feel the whip when it hits your own backβ€”by then it’s too late.” That’s why #decentralization matters. On #Nostr #YakiHonne, this will never happen.πŸ€™ image

hey thanks for adding that landscape mode for ipad! question: is it possible to implement the split screen "live preview" feature as it was on the web app? so nice to be able to see it formatted right there on one screen when typing... I do see the "preview eye" button bottom-right but AFAICT it is not rendering photos (i entered a url pointing to a jpeg via the markdown "add image" button) or anything really close to what the actual final output page would look like - and seems super bare bones relative to what i remember with the web app... also the "next" button, back on the compose article workspace, takes to a "publishing" pop-up but its confusing - when I hit the "publish" button, am I publishing a "PREVIEW" because that is what is indicated on top of pop-up ? If it's intended to be a preview (it isnt much of one) what then is the "preview eye" on the compose page for ? Overall there are just some redundancies and its not really flowing at all like I remember it on the web app... What about just doing it like the web app was? Compose page is a split screen that automatically renders the writer's input in markdown and includes a full render with the header photo/artwork and any included imagery or link preview/thumbnail from included links. Showing the writer what the actual final published article would look like? Then have the "Publish" button finalize from there ? FYI, reason I keep pushing this is I will soon be traveling world with only ipad as main computing interface for the next three years and hoping I can just use Yakihonne for the ultimate markdown-formatted longform publishing uncensorable nostr window... - another possible bug: the "see all" button under HOME tab > Drafts , doesn't seem to be responding... thanks again - hope that info helps to some degree...
Hey @npub1ljxd...3h7d , thanks for this detailed feedback. For the issue where the preview is not showing correctly, there was a bug yes, it’s fixed and it will be available in the upcoming release. As for the split screen option, the app was not optimized enough for the iPad, but we will definitely take this into consideration and add it in the next major release. As for the process of publishing, when click on β€œnext”, that means you have finished writing your article, and now you want to set your extra information such as (Cover, tags, zap split, etc), so it’s the final process per say. Your suggestion about optimizing this will be considered, we will see how we can make it more clear and intuitive. We appreciate you making YakiHonne your all to go client, We will make sure you find what you need in your journey πŸ™
Aj 🫣 kudos for trying to reach new people. Seems Reddit is not ready for better stuff yet, which will keep coming to their door anyways, again and again πŸ™ƒ For now, keep building, guys πŸ’œπŸ«΅ and maybe consider StackerNews a bit more often (esp. when it comes to cool updates and important notes)
