No it's not. Maybe in the UK not sure about them, but I will pretty safely claim that noone had repercussions here if their voice didn't incite violence against others.
I do agree that Europeans define "freedom of speech" differently than the US tho. In the US you (seemingly, correct me if I am wrong) can say anything.
Here, your freedom ends at the boundaries of hurting your next ones. Which I think is good. Death threats online should be taken as serious as snail mailed ones.
