Nanalytics: Website analytics like your Nanna used to bake.
Over Nostr, privacy preserving, simple analytics, easy to host.
I wanted to be able to track whether people we're playing the @Other Stuff Advent calendar games, but didn't really want to use Google Analytics. I also didn't want anything complex to mess around with, so I built this project to do simple page and day based hit tracking for me.
- You run a simple Context VM on an always on computer.
- There's a UI you can run and conntect to your context vm pubkey for setup (i'll add a version soon you can use that stores no data and uses extensions).
- You paste a 4 line script into your webpage and you're live.
The beauty of @ContextVM is there is absolutely no arsing around with networking for the server to set this up and its super easy to plug your own self hosted. backend.
Every page spins up a lightweight context VM client in the browser and through the magic of Nostr just records a new visit on your home computer :)
Its all working now, but there's a bunch of things that I could do to make it better if anyone's interested in using it, so let me know :)
