A top federal prosecutor in Minnesota suggested that the total amount of stolen taxpayer funds could be $9b or more. Over 90 percent of those charged in the massive fraud schemes have been Somali suspects. Many of them have been convicted at trial, even as some tried to pay off a juror to convince other jurors the prosecution was racist. The Somali refugee scammers have used the stolen money to fund international lavish lifestyles.
