Did they give them a back door?
Thankfully not, but removing privacy features from entire countries is pretty bad too. It worrying that although the UK is tiny country they can't risk ignoring pressure from its regime.
put down the mobile device and you won't get hurt
i can't believe i have to explain this to people
these devices have been thoroughly weaponised against you
just
stop
using
them
install linux on your laptop or desktop pc
deprecate your mobile to being purely for SMS and voice calls
go walk around and touch grass and go swimming and commune with the creation of your creator
Yea, this sucks for sure!
Incredibly disappointing.
its unfortunate that non of the large companies want to shake status quo. although if they did someone could get assassinated.
someone like apple could just say fuck you. political pressure from people living in uk would be enormous towards their government.
How did Apple Cave? Agency said create a back door and they didnβt. They went to court and as a final option they simply removed the feature. Now everyoneβs data in UK will have standard encryption for which the keys will be shared with law enforcement. Better than a back door to end to end encryption. If anyone is to be blame itβs the UK government and its policies.
Back door only used to catch a serious criminal . I think .
Itβs probably good idea to catch all that gang raped in the UK
UK caved. When will you rise against this tyranny?
Yikes
