Have you gotten a group chat going on it with normies? Iโm kind of afraid to try.
๐ฅน Yes.
๐ฏ๏ธ I'm going to make bee wax candles in the capital of my current living country on Sun, 12.11. (12th of Nov.) with a normie group because of a SimpleX group initiated by me.
๐ฅ I invited 16 SimpleX normie users of mine. (Ok, one of them is a Threema employee, but she's not the puller of my invites but one of the far edges of my invite mix).
โน๏ธ I think using the welcome message properly is key. State that there is no history visible and encourage to take some time until connections are made and messages are flowing in.
๐คซ On the other hand calm down new connected users in the group by not starting to early to interact and give invited users to connect first until the party starts.
โ But all of this is kind of overmicromanaging, except using the welcome message properly.
โ Do you and/ or does anybody want to join us?
... and keep your client up and running in the beginning to make the first few connects for the users seamless. ๐โโ๏ธ
