It is a shame that people do not understand Christianity with the importance it deserves. It is not about believing or not believing, nor is it about the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is a private institution; the Catholic Church is not Christianity. It's about the fact that your street is probably named after a Christian saint, that your holidays honor Christian saints and virgins, that your monuments honor Christianity, that your values and culture come from Christianity. Do you want to renounce your entire past? Do you want to renounce the meaning of everything around you? That's fine with me, but don't force me to do the same. I am not a believer in the usual sense; I do not believe that Jesus was the son of God, but I do believe that Jesus was a revolutionary for his time and has much in common with Bitcoiners. My god is a more transcendental figure that arises from the metaphysical doubt that someone must have created this perfect mathematical order in which we exist. But despite this, I understand and respect Christianity because it is my culture and because it has more good than bad. The word of Jesus is love, forgiveness, compassion, generosity, peace, and harmony. Tell me, what's wrong with that? And yes, of course, religions have been there to dominate man because man without beliefs and rules is a savage who destroys and kills. Man needs order, moral laws to prevent his decline, and discipline so as not to fall into the temptation of disorder.

Why would you want to neuter your god into the above? Jesus very clearly said he was the son of God and died for our sins. He rose again on the third day with numerous documentation. To ascribe anything less than Godly to him and discounting everything He said, makes him a footnote in history. I don’t know why anyone would want to do that.
I don’t disagree with much of the above. I encourage you to continue to read the New Testament to learn more about the immense nature/historical significance of this Man. Agree to disagree on the Godly part for now, but that is the ultimate question of all of our lives. Mark 14:61-62 β€œAgain the high priest asked Him, β€˜Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?’ And Jesus said, β€˜I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.’”
Christianity is a semitic cult turned political power instrument, so no thanks. I'll find spiritual meaning elsewhere, preferably in the lore and traditions of my own people - lore and traditions that were hijacked by missionaries and rulers throughout the ages. You know, things like Christmas and Easter and other originally "pagan" ways of celebrating the great wheel of nature and our deep relationship to it. Don't need a jealous Hebrew sky-patriarch or any Jewish hippie guy with delusions of grandeur to do that.
There are so many things written in the bible that are playing out today. The Bible warns that in the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, and unholy. This self-centeredness is described as a root of all kinds of evil, reflecting a heart that seeks its own gain and glory rather than honoring God. The passage emphasizes that such individuals will lack love, forgiveness, and self-control, and will be lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, despite potentially maintaining a form of godliness without its true power. The text explicitly instructs believers to avoid such people. This in particular, avoid these people? It’s getting hard to lol
I really appreciate your perspective. I like to contemplate why thousands of saints would sacrifice their own lives for such a faith. Yes, the values of Christianity are noble and righteous. But this isn't the main reason to adopt it or believe in it. The main reason should always be because of its truth. If you don't believe that Christ is the Son of God, it would follow that the Gospel is at least partially false. If it's false, then it should be held at a distance while being scrutinized and ultimately rejected if that falsity proves to be the case. If there is a god that created such perfect mathematical order, we still need an explanation for sin and the evil in this world. Would such an all powerful god not create a path of redemption for the brokenness of the world? The Gospel has answers for all of this. I encourage everyone to continually contemplate the claims of the Gospel. Its commandments should be adopted and strive for because the Gospel is true, not for any other reason. If you haven't arrived at the conclusion of it's authenticity, then continue to scrutinize and verify.
