Ego is, in my opinion, the main deterrent to understanding #bitcoin because to truly understand bitcoin, one has to come to understand and admit that EVERYTHING they formally thought about money is ENTIRELY wrong. They were duped and indoctrinated, and NOBODY likes admitting that they were terribly, terribly wrong.

Let's start with some facts. Monero is disinflationary trending against zero. Bitcoin is disinflationary trending against zero in 2140. Both have about the same inflation today. Monero will be more scarce until 2040. Bitcoin will rely on an unproven fee model for security. Monero relies on a proven fee and miner incentive model (like Bitcoin today). If you can not see that it is a trade off, there is always Wownero, a fixed supply Monero memecoin clone.
