What are the best stores/sites to find bitcoin or nostr shirts, socks, hats, hoodies and other essentials? #asknostr
knitting a hat under cover of night as babes sleep in their beds. shh 🤫 it's really nice to be knitting again. I'm working on a couple sample pieces for the next evolution of karo's knits on nostr that will be available for purchase. image From Bitcoin and Nostr themed beanie hats to star blankets to wool socks, I keep changing what I offer because life keeps changing. The demands for my time as a mother are at an all time high right now but I'm finding small pockets of rest where I'm eager to stack some sats with my knitting skills. I don't have a complete picture of what's next but I do know that it will be custom fit, made to order. Knitting for inventory didn't really work out as I still have quite a few Bitcoin beanies that never got traction. I also know that I'll only be working with 100% wool (and/or other natural fibers) There are a few question marks that I need to think and plan out but I'll get to those, eventually. Thanks for reading this far and for all the support you guys have shown me 💜 #knitting #yarnstr

I don't post for zaps because I have a real job for stacking sats. I post because I want to use a censorship resistant and decentralized communications protocol. I do it for my own pleasure and I like that I can express my appreciation for other posts with monetary value. I also like to say retard. But if you can't afford to zap more than 1 sat then why zap at all? Keep the sats, you clearly need them. However, if you can afford it but are concerned about what 1 sat will be worth in 50 years, then you're probably a miser. You probably never donated a meaningful sum to any bitcoin or nostr project. You probably never supported your fellow bitcoiners or nostriches during their times of need in a significant way. You probably still own socks and underwear with holes in them. These are not character traits that should be celebrated lmao. The point of bitcoin is to build a better life, not to live like a poor person until you die. image

We got pulled over once in Reno, my husband driving and decided to turn kinda last second, but didn't actually violate any laws. It was around midnight, there was snow in the ground and we hadn't been prepared when we went there. I was wearing a dress, thick socks, and one of my husbands dress jackets. Then they asked me to step out of the vehicle. There was the initial officer and then 2 backup, one female and one male, who stayed with me. The male frisked me and when the female saw my wedding ring, she asked kinda surprised, "are you two married?" After that she seemed to wonder what the point was. It seemed they'd been called in as backup for suspicion of something that she seemed to no longer suspect us of. The initial officer had asked if I was nervous, but I wasn't nervous, just cold, and when I told him, he said he was too. Yeah?! Well, he was wearing more than me, and he's the one who made the decided to put us both in that situation! They asked me questions, one of which was where we were going to stay that night, and when I asked finally what that mattered to them, they stopped asking me questions and went and got my husband. My husband pushed back more, and when the original officer didn't get anywhere with him, he used his flashlight and walked around our van, which I was not standing in front of with the two backups. Since we don't do any drugs or had any cash, they eventually ended up letting us go with a warning or something. We'd seen a video of a guy passing through Nevada who kept his money in cash cause he didn't trust the banks, and the cops confiscated his money anyways, even if he had legitimate records of every single dollar with him! Turned out they get paid for sending money along to... the drug unit I believe... regardless of if it's legit or not. It took him fighting them with lawyers for 6 months to get his money back! We were so happy we were already into Bitcoin and hadn't accidentally had a wad of cash with us when this happened. We needed to forgive them and let it go, especially me, cause I didn't wanna set foot in Nevada again after how they treated us/me. Now I'm fine with it and have had some more pleasant times in that state, but I still wouldn't want to live there! It sure seemed like they were fishing for something else, cause it's not normal for cops to pull out the passenger at a traffick stop! Anyways, keep your money in bitcoin and not cash if you're driving through Nevada 😅
