There are actually a decent amount of bitcoiners writing novels, specifically novels that have nothing to do with Bitcoin. And itβs really incredible, honestly.
Vlog #1
Inspired by @npub1rtlq...jtfs and a conversation I had yesterday with @walker for the @Think Bitcoin Podcast (subscribe, friends), I wanted to start thinking out loud about the future of art, creativity, and art patronage in a bitcoin world.
Gm start your day with this impassioned call to action from @markstephany. New episode of @Think Bitcoin Podcast dropping tomorrow.
Friends, subscribe where you get your pods so you donβt miss it.
Sometimes Iβll be loading the dishwasher or doing some other rote, tedious thing at night and Iβll just think about how much I love my children, asleep upstairs in their rooms, and be so overwhelmed with that love that Iβm brought nearly to tears.
Reading great literature takes you out of time and, when done well, leads you to an encounter with both your own real authentic self and expands your capacity to encounter/understand/connect with the real authentic selves of others.
It is a form of truth-seeking.
The fiat world, by subjugating your time to the hamster wheel (and keeping you on it with inflation) and nuking your attention span with social media, valid consumerism, etc, distances you from yourself and makes it exceedingly difficult to encounter/understand/connect with the real authentic selves of others.
In this way itβs anti-truth-seeking.
One way to rebel (on the level of self) is to read great literature.
