This age verification thing for social media has me thinking. Won't the authoritarians eventually close the nostr mobile and desktop loophole by placing restrictions on app store approvals and website hosts? What are we gonna do? All see each other on sided-loaded android apps over tor?

I feel like I must be insane for not seeing the value of a nostr remote signing device. Add an extra manual step and a physical device to broadcast a single shitpost on social media? Who is asking for this? "But Nostr isn't social media! It's a pRoTOcOL! More people will come if we just teach them about well-defined standardized software communications rulesets and we need to be prepared for when they inevitably ask about secure digital signatures and operational security!
