Husband and I were supposed to have a date today, but a package arrived with our new kitchen extractor fan and our "date" turned into a 3-hour intelligence test/team building exercise. "Easy installation" my ass πŸ˜‚
GM! This morning, I biked down to the lake. It was just a regular grey day, the coldest morning of the autumn yet. πŸ‚β˜οΈ As I was cycling down the waterfront, I was stopped in my tracks by the sight of a large waterbird with pure white feathers taking flight and flying gracefully away across the water. At first, I thought it was a heron, but herons are usually grey, so I looked it up and recognised it as a great egret. This was surprising and very lucky because they are quite rare here in Finland. Egrets symbolise wisdom, grace and divine guidance during times of uncertainty and transition. How blessed that it crossed my path today πŸ™ [Photo not mine] image
I just want to take a moment to appreciate my husband He has through a lot with his work this year. It has felt like an attack on him and, by extension, our family. We think he became a target because he stuck his neck out for his workers’ safety. Around the start of this year, it became clear his employer was trying to get rid of him. Through it all, my husband kept his composure. When they tried to change his shifts so that he would see our 3-year-old only on weekends, he fought them and won. But in June, they fired him, illegally, causing uproar among everyone who considered my husband a good supervisor and colleague. In August, he found a new job that would at least pay the bills. But when he went to sign the contracts, it turned out not to be what was promised in terms of hours and transport offered, and they tried to cheat him out of his education bonuses. He walked away, without anything else lined up. The gamble paid off, and this week he was hired for a job that is better in every way than his original job. He held firm to his principles and knew his worth, even when his livelihood was threatened. Now his patience and perseverance have been rewarded. His courage and bold leadership are an inspiration to me. And I truly hope this will be the fresh start he deserves. πŸ™β€οΈ image
GM! β˜•οΈ This weekend I've been at my bandmate's cabin and we've been working on our sets for upcoming gigs and trying out some new tunes and songs. Thankful for beautiful countryside, music and good friends πŸ™ image
GM! Normally you can see buildings from here... πŸŒ«πŸ‚ image
I've been on Nostr for about 2.5 months now, and in that time, I've gained more followers than in five years on Twitter. Twitter really had me thinking maybe I'm just boring (though tbh, I still can't rule it out) πŸ˜‚
One day you're attending your first Bitcoin event and then suddenly you're writing an e-book and planning all sorts of projects. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
This is something I recorded with my friend for his channel last year. He is super talented, especially as a guitarist, and can be found over on IG @eugenechernov or on Telegram @eugenechernovmusic The tune is called The Boyne Water
