In case you missed our announcement: The Sovereign Tech Fund is investing in @npub1areh...fcch efforts to modernize its core technology! From late 2024 through 2026, this funding will help update OpenStreetMap’s codebase, improve documentation and testing, and make contributing easier. Beyond that, the project will enhance its infrastructure—tackling map vandalism, refining geospatial data interaction, and strengthening OpenStreetMap’s role in logistics, urban planning, and disaster response.

Open source powers so much of the world, but the people behind it often go unseen. It was wonderful to meet so many maintainers and contributors in person at an event like @npub1y3nl...0j80. These are real people doing critical work on that we all rely on, and they deserve all the recognition and appreciation.
