I’ve seen several references today to this being the 50th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Every year I listen to this video of Gordon Lightfoot’s song. I don’t really know his music, but this song is a haunting reminder that the great lakes are giant inland seas and nature is untamable.
