I have spent two hours today waiting for a git repo to be cloned. Not because git or internet connection is slow, but because I had to find the right person with access permissions on the corporate GitLab and wait for him to clone the repo into another repo on GitLab. Two hours.
This is one reason why corporate software development is so slow. The bureaucracy, the rules, the rituals. Two hours, lads. I could've done something productive instead.
