Today I sent value across the planet — from my phone in less than a minute. No passport, no bank, no waiting for a “clearance period.” Just a wallet address, a few satoshis in network fees, and a broadcast to the Bitcoin network.
Within 10 minutes, miners packaged my transaction into a block, sealed it with Proof-of-Work, and added it to the blockchain. That record can never be altered without rewriting every block that came after it — an impossible task without controlling more computing power than the entire network combined.
Every time I do this, I’m reminded: Bitcoin isn’t just money. It’s a living, global system where math enforces the rules and consensus replaces authority. It’s not asking for permission, it’s rewriting what permission even means. ⚡
