Never trust anyone who says you "need" to run an alternative client to "save Bitcoin" If an alternative client provides features you "want", then try it out! But if you are a regular user of Bitcoin, you don’t "need" to do shit
I have lost some Bitcoin testing nostr and Lightning over the years I thought it was worth it, because custodians were supposed to be a temporary solution Now I hear "Bitcoin banks" are the future Fuck that image
"It’s custodial ecash" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Not your keys, not your Bitcoin I don’t know why this needs to be said. If you give your Bitcoin to a custodian, you no longer own that Bitcoin You can beg your government to save you, but Bitcoin doesn’t care

Trump still wants to "revise Section 230" and hold website creators accountable for the content of their users. Section 230 is not a law that "protects" Big Tech. It is a law that says website creators are not held accountable for the actions of others. It’s what protects your speech from censorship, at the discretion of the website owner. This is a property rights issue. There is no way to "revise" Section 230 without creating restrictions that do not currently exist.
This is pikamp, a photo browser app that turns your computer into a personal cloud for pictures and videos. It uses secureserver to ensure only authorized devices have access, and no third parties are involved. It’s pretty cool. Still needs a lot of work, but it’s relatively easy to use:
I have made a template to create browser apps for your PC and access them securely on your phone. I have already built a few examples. The video shows me using the @npub1wnww...95l8 nostr client. Simply clone Iris and run the program; and in a separate terminal, run secureserver. Visit the provided URL (your public ip), go through the authentication process, and you have a local version of Iris running remotely on your phone. @Snort works too, but it takes several seconds to load in the remote browser. That is not snort’s fault, so I will work on it. There is also a pretty cool photo app that turns your PC into a personal cloud, and a Bitcoin wallet that uses your own node. Here is the code to secureserver, with links to the other apps:
