I’ve been on this platform since 2014. I was here during the height of Islamic terror attacks across the West—carried out by those affiliated with or inspired by ISIS, al-Qaeda and other jihadist groups. A decade later, the debate hasn’t moved an inch. Some parts of the right criticize Islam, Muslim communities and mass migration. Their policy proposals are dismissed and smeared as “Islamophobic” and “racist.” Much of the left reflexively defends Islam and “diversity,” insisting the status quo must remain untouched. After every attack, it’s the same ritualized back-and-forth. Nothing changes. More people die. And society has been conditioned to accept this as simply “part and parcel” of life in countries with large migrant Muslim populations.
