A Rhode Island District Court judge has ruled that the Trump administration acted unlawfully in pulling grants from libraries and museums, and the funds are now being reinstated. Federal funding only makes up a small proportion of the budget for public libraries, but it does support services like internet access, workforce training and pilot programs.
