Getting on 0 is much harder than getting off 0.
Add value first, ask questions later. This is the bitcoin way. In fiat it’s all about what can I extract from day 1… I believe bitcoin changes this dynamic. We are moving to a world led by bitcoiners who value proof of work (actual results) not proof of stake (resume, credentials, etc.) So don’t ask for permission. Do stuff. Take action. That’s how doors will open.
My first bitcoin conference was Sofia, Bulgaria 2024. Since then I’ve been to more than ten and have moved more of my time and energy towards bitcoin as a result. Here’s a quick take on why smaller conferences are higher signal and why you should join us in Bulgaria this month! BTCBalkans.com
I got to spend the day filming with world record holding swimmer Dean Hall, who was given a death sentence in the form of two types of stage four cancer and decided that he was going to beat it without radiation or chemo. He started swimming and became the first person to swim the entire length of the Willamette river, 185 miles in 22 days. He spent time in nature, touched the Earth and camped in the forest in his hammock. Doctors don’t have an explanation for how he survived. His story is a potent example of the healing power of nature. Unfortunately, he’s not on Nostr yet but hopefully soon!
"Money has spiritual energy. If you're spending blood money that comes with consequences." Incredible episode this really got me thinking… the proof of weapons network isn’t going to roll over without a fight. https://fountain.fm/episode/RhAeIYJ0FRB2yQ7BJJ5g View quoted note →
Learning Bitcoin Day 2 highlights In the last 18 months, I have attended more than a dozen Bitcoin conferences around the world. Each one has its own flavor, format, and vibe. But the one thing that is consistent is how powerful in person education and connection is. Learning bitcoin 2025 had a great format. Day, one, fundamentals and workshops. Day two, talks from a broad range of perspectives Q&A’s and even a full demo courtesy of @Damus @Seb Bunney and @Adam O’Brien gave fantastic talks, bringing an optimistic perspective on why bitcoin in the hands of everyday people is the way forward. @Scott Dedels interviewed the mayor of Vancouver Ken Sims about how bitcoin adoption is going at the city government level. If you want to learn about bitcoin the best thing you can do is attend to conference ask questions, gather resources, and network with Bitcoiners. See you next year in Vancouver! @Learning Bitcoin Foundation
There needs to be a manual or guide to support onboarding merchants, giving them various options for receiving bitcoin/lightning and how to properly secure it. Maybe I’ll make it if it doesn’t exist. If there is such a thing I’d like to check it out. #asknostr
A friend of mine @Luke Mikic just had his 4 YouTube channels shut down out of the blue. His entire business and 6 years of building rug pulled with no explanation other than “dangerous information.” Not your platform, not your business… content creators need to be resilient and own their businesses.
