Don't give me a prize, it'll only get broken...
If you put 60V through a 12V solenoid and wait about a minute you will get a blue flame accompanied by the sound of fireworks. If you did this accidentally you will realise that you need to run towards the fire not away because you need to disconnect it. After disconnection there will be a nice calm orange flame which will self-extinguish after a minute or so.
Every day is a school day.
Oh and my mower's broken for the foreseeable future...
