#Mistral #AI is no longer releasing open weights. They removed all "open" and "free" palaver from their website [1], while partnering with Microsoft. On one side, I'm happy there's more options than just OpenAI, and I'm happy this will increase competition and innovation in the space. But I'm sad to see that Mistral has abandoned their origins of magnet link releases of open weights with no explanation nor announcements. I think it would be compatible to do both. [1]:
