roughly three years ago, i spent 6 months dating the head of risk and controls at one of the largest banks in the US. btc was trading ~$25k at the time. she would come to my place and see btc books on my shelf and make the usual ignorant comments. on dinner dates, she would ask what i did that day, and i would frequently say i bought more btc. snide remarks followed. one time, in response to one of these remarks, i told her that within a year she would be having convos about btc inside her bank. she laughed. then a month later she dumped me. a year later, btc crossed 100k for the first time. ironically, she is one of the main people responsible for CFTC compliance at her bank. with btc once again trading near 100k, a bull market in sight, and today's news of the CFTC embracing btc, i don't have to ask to know that i live rent free in her head. she'll be thinking about our convos forever. and sorry mama...ya boy left the station a long time ago. βπ»π
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way β in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
