An insightful comment about the โfeminist non-feministโ conservative women that are being astroturfed right now:

It's not just liberals who pretend to not understand things.
Some conservative women are experts at creating an appearance of victimhood, because they know that for women, the appearance of victimization is a source of power.
"Oh, poor me! I'm being persecuted for telling the truth, by all-these evil, hateful, icky, porn-addicted MEN!"
Nah, sister, you don't even believe that. It's a grift. You're just trying to shut down the real pushback, which is against you, on a stage, lecturing men about their sexuality.
If Christian men need or want to hear about how porn is sinful and/or unhealthy, they'll hear about it from the proper source... another Christian man.
And they are on solid biblical ground with this expectation:
1 Timothy 2:12: I do not allow a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; instead, she is to remain quiet.
There it is. In black and white. Text with a simple, objectively clear meaning. There's no wiggle room here, no ambiguity of phraseology, no loophole. Christian women are not to lecture men on matters of scripture or faith.
Full stop, end of discussion.
If you don't like that bible phrase, and I understand why you might not, take it up with the Council of Nicea, not with me, or with Christian men. Neither of us wrote it.
But, in professing Christian faith, if you profess Christian faith, that is the dotted line you signed on.
The bible is not a Las Vegas buffet. You don't get to pick and choose which bits to put on your plate. You may eat the whole thing, or none of it. Those are your choices.
And that is the real issue. Whether porn is bad or not is beside the point.
Even if you are not a Christian, however, it's still obvious that women are not qualified to lecture men on our sexuality. They don't understand it, and the vast majority of them have no idea that there is anything TO understand.
Not being a Christian myself, I won't lecture Christian men on this as a matter of faith, although nothing actually forbids me to do so except, you know, good taste, courtesy, and ability to, for fuck's sake, read the fucking room.
So I'm not going to hold forth on whether or not porn should be regarded as sinful.
But I will talk about whether it's unhealthy.
Well, like alcohol, there's almost certainly some level and type of consumption that's bad for you. Just as we see some people become alcoholics, we've certainly seen some people conditioned to weirder and weirder sexualities, and doing self-destructive things because of it.
Is any amount bad? Well, like alcohol, that's a harder case to make. There are comparatively few things in human culture of which literally any amount is bad for you.
Perhaps a case could be made, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
How much is too much? What type is the wrong type?
Well, that's for men to determine, for themselves and among themselves, in discussion with other men, who understand what male sexuality is like from the inside, and can usefully help each other, instead of just nagging.
But there's a bigger issue here.
Addicts don't become addicts "suddenly and for no reason at all". It doesn't happen with alcohol, it doesn't happen with heroin, and there's no reason to believe it happens with porn.
Addicts usually become addicts because they seize on something that feels good to anesthetize something else that really, really doesn't.
Just as happy people don't become heroin addicts, men with access to healthy and satisfying expression of their need for sex don't become porn addicts.
Yes, I said "need". Deal with it.
Regarding sex as optional pleasurable fun that men can easily do without is so chick-brained it's not even funny. Men who didn't have a sexual imperative didn't have all that many descendants. That's how evolution works.
And it's why, throughout history, men have gotten themselves killed trying to get laid. Hell, history itself is probably a result of men trying to get laid, because what the hell do you think men built civilization FOR?
So let us have no more nonsense about "keeping it in your pants". The men who can do that are a minority.
People don't eat because they know they will die if they don't. They don't even eat just because food tastes good. They eat because they are hungry. And if you feed them certain types of unhealthy food, then it will break the biofeedback mechanisms that tell them "you are satiated now, stop eating", and you will have a society full of fat people.
And if your culture doesn't provide a healthy outlet for the male sex drive, men will find an unhealthy one rather than go without.
Accept it or cry about it, you can't change it.
If you are a man in a preindustrial society, like humans had when the bible was written, you can support a family doing farm labor, so you can get married at fifteen. So prescripts against adultery and fornication are feasible and make sense, especially since you can have as many wives as you can afford to support. Sure, there may have been the odd slip, but the expectations at least COULD be followed.
If you are a man in a high-tech society overrun with foreign slave labor, and you can't have a career until you're 28, or a house of your own until you are 45, what the hell do you think is going to happen?
If all the women are being encouraged to get educations and careers and abortions and consequence-free hookup sex with the most attractive men they can manage to hook up with, what do you think is going to happen?
If the churches are infiltrated by Marxist and feminist thought and philosophy, and pander to women by blaming men solely for any and all problems between the sexes, what do you think is going to happen?
If you shame women out of the kitchen and into the office, and outsource all your food production to corporations with factories full of weird additives, and cause a full-on multigenerational obesity epidemic so most women are fat and unattractive and the only fit ones can make big money on OnlyFans because they are in short supply, what do you think is going to happen?
Precisely what we see happening, that's what.
But blaming porn, and men, is easier than fixing a broken society, and easier than having a conversation with women about how they aren't actually perfect angels made of sugar and spice and everything nice, and their behavior might just be 50% of the problem.
So even among alleged "conservatives", the very values that could fix the problem are talked about endlessly, but not practiced, and Christianity becomes just one more platform for girlbosses to girlboss.
