My Ubuntu 22.04 machine, where I'm running my node after lots of pain to set it up properly, keeps nagging me about updating to 24.04.2 LTS. Yay or Nay? #AskNostr #Ask_Nostr
So Benelli has come up with an anti-drone M4. They call it "AI drone guardian" and the sales guy says that the most important piece of new tech it carries is "AI". Which... wait for it... stands for "advance impact" blah blah blah. Fucking Italian marketeers, I hate them so much -- because I envy them. They're just the best. No second comes even close to them. Motherfuckers.
It's a quite Monday night at home without the wife, and I happen to have just watched BSG once again very recently. So *logic dictates*... image
Kash Patel was sworn in as FBI director the other day by holding his hand on a Hindu religious text. Not on the Bible. As I said, as long as you declare your "belief" in a "Supreme Being", you're good to go... View quoted note →
So finally yesterday I did a couple of purchases on Robosats, and that went how it went. This morning I was finally to catch a reasonable (0% premium) offer on @bisq of the right amount I like to buy to keep the total fees including network and exchange fees remain around my threshold of 1% of the purchase. It was a fleeting one: I checked and there was nothing, then I refresh and it appeared. But when I took it, and Bisq did the corresponding availability check, it had suddenly gone offline. So I (kind of desperately, I admit) refreshed a few more times, and there it was again after a couple of minutes. So I pounced. Parallel to that, my offer to buy was still sitting there untouched, even though I had increased the premium to 1%, so I deactivated it and I'll turn it back on next time I want to buy. Never seen anything like that, over a week with no takers is insanity. The proof of that is that the sell offer I took was a perfect match to my own offer to buy, except I was willing to pay 1% over the premium, and still this seller made an offer to sell at 0% premium, rather than taking mine. Talk about irrational (yes, maker/taker fees are different, but the 1% would more than pay for that, and then some). I wonder if there's some sort of problem with the platform that causes offers not to be seen (in either direction, because I couldn't see any "normal" offers I'd take either). I was buying as usual just a couple of weeks ago, and we had this update to v 1.9.19 last week. View quoted note →
