Nov 18, 2025 @ 11:16 Good morning, family & friends❣️ This morning I started out with something different. Typically I get up and make my tea, then drink it as I work on choosing videos, graphics, and put together the mini-devo. (That last task also serves as my own morning study and devotion as I find, study, and put it all together.) BUT today I got 3 emails in particular from blogs that I follow. And each one had a special message for me so I set aside everything and carefully read all 3 of them, and I wanted to share them with you. I never know the value to you of the things I post, but don't need to. Some things I share for entertainment, or just because I liked something about it. Others I know that God is simply using me for a vessel and will use it to lead anyone who needs it to find it. Anyway, when I am impelled to share something here, I do, if ony for that reason alone. I will come back later to post my usual morning content, no worries. For now, these are what took up my time this morning: The Correct Term for Self-Esteem (a Biblical truth of the type the world hates to see) We Told Gen Z to Build a Platform. Now They Don't Know How to Build a Soul (I am not a pastor but this has soul-searching truths for Christian content creators that kept me riveted and prayerfully questioning from beginning to end, and will continue to do so!) But He Talked Purdy To Me! (I love reading Pat's honest, gritty posts, the occasional profanity - more than usual in this impassioned post - notwithstanding. This guy has a heart of gold, a keen eye for the realities of life, and a delightful style for expressing them.)

Nov 17, 2025 @ 17:17 (!) Good evening family & friends❣️ I don't care if it is evening yet by the old TV Guide standards, it's almost dark and that's good enough for me hahaha! So HoWie and I took Pete to his appointment in Clare, about an hour away, and then we stopped for gas on our way to the Amish store we'd planned to visit. As we pulled away from the pump HoWie went dead, just as I was rolling downhill out into the road. Of course my power brakes went "dead" too and that very familiar small still voice, just as I started to panic while rolling into traffic, said, "The engine is off, no power brakes." I stood on the brake pedal just in time that only the front part of HoWie was in the road...thank you Jesus! So I texted Casey while Pete called the place that we used to get our vehicles repaired when we lived out there...they sent out a wrecker, and Casey left work to drive to Clare and bring us home. THANK YOU SO MUCH, CASEY💝 At the moment we've been driving HoWie while waiting to get new front tires on the car, but that just gained priority. Just part of adulting I guess 🤷‍♀️ but thankful we don't adult alone 🙌 ✝️ 🙌 👑 🙌 ✝️ 🙌. So I'm just going to shut down for the evening and chill a bit, and I will see you in the morning, God willing. Nov 17, 2025 @ 07:34 (!) Good morning family & friends❣️ Well, once again yesterday didn't turn out according to plan hahaha! I ended up sleeping most of the day; hopefully I'm recovered - or as recovered as I can be - from Saturday night, after sleeping 21 hours out of the last 31. Speaking of the dinner/concert, I did wear my camera sunglasses and was able to record parts of the music until the battery ran out, so I'm SUPER happy about that as I can revisit the event! No plans for today except that Pete has an appointment back in Clare so HoWie and I will be taking him to that, and hoping we can stop in at one or two of our favorite Amish stores while we're there. I'm not sure what I will be posting today, I haven't been at my keyboard in several days so it won't be a music post...I'll look through my files and see what I've got. Nov 16, 2025 @ 10:33 Good morning family & friends❣️ First things first: I survived and even enjoyed the dinner and the concert last night, to a point. (I wrote about it in a health page update this morning.) Today will be a rest day, though there are a couple of things I do have to do. Mostly sleep I'm predicting. I want to try a pizza with the new carnivore dough I came up with a few days ago but maybe later, we'll see. Otherwise I have other things to eat around here. I'm just hungry because of the unavoidable carbs I ate at the dinner last night. So this morning I got my "morning 3" up, and posted the next chapter of Don's latest story, as I am not sure if I will be back online today. Just wanted to have the most important things done and if I can do my Sunday postings I will, but if I can't then the day isn't a total loss right? Besides, I'm really enjoying Don's Story and I'm sure (if the stats are any indication) others are as well! Anyway, Pete is at church with Leelan, the girls had other plans. It is windy and chilly; the deck in front had ice on it this morning. But this will be our weather for the foreseeable future which is, of course, typical for November in Michigan!
