New technologies - Same mistakes?
Why is humanity obsessed with applying new technologies to structures, formats, concepts, and applications that simply didn’t work and significantly hindered evolution?
The issue of inflation, caused by the misuse and overuse of fiat currencies, and their invisible role in markets creating fake and worthless wealth, wasn’t enough to teach humanity that we don’t need to misuse and overexpose #Bitcoin either. Many still see it only as a form of currency, while companies and projects are already creating a "stock market" to trap it within a system that undermines its potential and ultimately destroys its truly transformative and innovative essence.
The rise of the internet and the development of apps to immerse people into new addictions and forms of slavery wasn’t enough either. Now, a new platform like #Nostr is presented, re-dignifying these same forms of interaction, addiction, participation, and connection that caused so much harm to the mental and physical health of so many people around the world.
Devices that were supposed to make our lives easier, such as smartphones, computers, and wearables, have only succeeded in further enslaving us, limiting our freedom, and pulling us deeper into a digital reality that takes us further away from ourselves.
The concept of "innovation" sadly involves connecting things that already exist in ways they never have before. It doesn't mean creating something from scratch. Because surely, channeling true innovation requires an immense amount of energy, and the brain, still in its primitive state, is something it would choose to ignore if it could avoid it.
Could it be that human #innovation tends to prioritize external connections, rather than cultivating a deeper internal connection with oneself? Of course, in this scenario, the ego would start to fade when there’s nothing it can show or share to feel special or superior to others. When we focus on developing internal awareness, we can create and live more authentically—shifting from an outside-in approach to one that starts from within.
Hopefully, true change awaits us in the #future. May the latest #technologies not be blinded by lazy minds trying to replicate mistakes instead of creating real solutions.
