I grew up on the original Thief: The Dark Project (before Thief Gold) and loved that game as a kid, despite being too impatient for it at the time... that said, why did people hate the 2014 reboot game? Sure, it streamlined some aspects and had that insufferably annoying apprentice thief girl in it, but I've been replaying it on my Steam Deck and I'm really enjoying it, as I did with it back when it first came out. :guilded_shrug: #RetroGames #stealth #Eidos
It's not Christmas without an LGR video and this one might be my favorite of his Christmas videos to date! :guilded_salute: #Christmas #retro #retrocomputing
One of the unexpected benefits of getting my Steam Deck is that I've been able to jump back into Fallout 3 for the first time in years. Fallout 3 genuinely changed my perception on what video games could be, so it's amazing to be back. It looks and runs amazingly! Fallout 3 was a pain to get running on modern Windows, even with mods. Ironic, then, that a game made for a nearly 20 year old version of Windows runs better on Linux. :odysee_thinking: #SteamDeck #Fallout3 #Fallout #Retro image

Since everyone seems to think that Elf is the best thing since sliced bread, what do you consider to be the greatest Christmas movie before the new millennium? For me, Christmas Vacation wins all day long. However, The Santa Clause is definitely my runner-up. Both are the only Christmas movies that I can watch multiple times per year and not get sick of them.
I really, REALLY hate the music stage on Ristar. Man, the soundtrack is annoying, the level gimmicks are a pain and it's just not even visually impressive in the way the rest of the game is. Great game but man, this stage would have absolutely made me ragequit if I didn't have save states to fall back on every once in a while. #RetroGames #SEGA #SegaGenesis image
I don't know if I should feel happy about this or not :guilded_lul: Cool that Nintendo's releasing these but it also shows me that Sega removing these games from Steam is obviously just a cash grab because it clearly isn't licensing issues.
In your opinion, what is the best of the Infinity Engine RPG classics? #RetroGames #RPG #BaldursGate #Interplay #BioWare
Did any of you have the chance to play the original Planetside? I really loved Planetside 2 and played it a LOT in the summer of 2014 but I've heard some claim the original is significantly better than the original. That's definitely a tall order but I wouldn't be surprised, since the first game dropped in 2003, during an era when FPSes were in a bit of a golden age, so I'm just curious if anyone on Retro Gaiden (or the Fediverse) has any stories! #RetroGames #shooters #FPS #Planetside
