A VERY nice collection of many classic games by one of my favorite game designers of all time (though, in fairness, later Civ games were Sid Meier in name only). I bought them all last time they ran this bundle but if you missed it that last time, here's your second chance. I am beyond thrilled to be playing Andrew Gower's #BrighterShores. As a 20-year veteran of #RuneScape who recently quit due to various factors, it's amazing to be back in a game with similar vibes, yet an all new adventure to take! It really does have that retro vibe but benefits from the decades of experience that the Gower brothers have. If you like MMOs and #RetroGames, definitely consider trying it! No microtransactions, seemingly no politics, just an old school multiplayer adventure!

Absolutely fascinating. I think a huge part of what makes retro games so intriguing is the way that developers were forced to be creative to get around technological limitations.

Dex is a criminally underappreciated game with beautiful, crisp pixel art. Think Ghost in the Shell meets Deus Ex meets metroidvania and that's roughly what you get here. Plus, unlike a lot of modern cyberpunk stuff, it doesn't push partisan political views. The core theme is that the main character is skeptical of cybernetic augmentation but she's forced to get them to survive being hunted by a hostile force for reasons unknown. Oh, and my review is on page 2!

It's absolutely wild to me that this video is a few days from being 10 years old. I still remember watching it and thinking, "YES, he put it into words!" Morrowind was my first CRPG and for the longest time, I couldn't seem to articulate why it still stands as one of my favorite games of all time. The first two #Fallout games and the Tactics spinoff for less than $5. Absolutely epic deal if you haven't played them before! They also have Bethesda's games on sale and even though I generally prefer their take on the series, I don't think any of them would be considered retro.

I didn't play EverQuest during its prime (as I've said before, I was a RuneScape guy) but I watch this retrospective every so often if I want to feel nostalgic for old school MMORPGs. It really does a great job of placing you back in that era. #MMO #MMORPG #RetroGames
