Keeping it real. Here is some real crime facts. The is a law against murder. The law allows life in prison, and in many places, the death penalty. This threat of punishment does not deter the murderer. The murderer does not fear the judge nor the hangman. The murderer does not think that far ahead. He fears the immediate threat of severe bodily harm or death. He fears the armed, disciplined and bold citizen. Making laws against owning, carrying, using weapons only emboldens the criminal. Such laws make victims out of those who comply with the law.
