"(...) In 2012, the role of GND as spokesperson during the student strike made the young union activist a media figure in the movement. Along with Jeanne Reynolds, he was co-spokesperson for the Coalition large de l'ASSÉ (CLASSE), a temporary coalition of 67 associations representing 100,000 students, demanding free education.
The strike, which lasted from February to September 2012, reached a peak in March, when nearly 300,000 students across the province were on strike.
(...) In March 2017, Nadeau-Dubois announced that he was joining Québec solidaire. A few weeks later, on May 21, he became the party's male co-spokesperson, alongside Manon Massé. He was then elected as the MNA for the riding of Gouin, in central Montreal, in the May 29 by-election. He was re-elected in the following elections with nearly 60% of the vote.
(...) [In April 2024] the parliamentary leader receives the support of his colleagues and simultaneously announces his desire for the party to make a "pragmatic" shift so that Québec solidaire is able to win elections and form a government."
