A blocksize cap on Monero has been proposed @ 90MB.
Monero does not scale well due to its heavy transactions and now the devs have discovered that if blocks go above 100MB there is total node failure.
This is very optimistic because previous stress tests have shown nodes cannot even handle 5MB blocks.
This is why Bitcoin Cash is the go to coin for world scale P2P digital cash where 100MB blocks work fine.
