I don't think it will work as he expects. For example, if the money “will be free,” it will have no real value and will cause the same miscalculations that prevented the USSR from prioritizing according to people's needs (rather than according to warmongering policies, for example). Furthermore, people will seek other means of exchange that provide real value, and the free market will flourish again. This will force the promoters of the technocracy advocated by Musk to compel the population to follow the course of corporatist planning. In short, what Musk is promoting is ordinary tyranny, but (maybe) with AI.
