Another Bitcoin horror story - don't do what I did!!!! Jan 16, 2022 I swapped 0.171327 BTC for a masternode πŸ’© coin I was convinced was going to $1 with the hype of some friends. What is that πŸ’© coin swap worth today? $171.10 Bitcoin Value today: $19565.81 πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€ Don't be an idiot like me - HODL Get a hardware wallet now! image
Don’t be dumb trying to trade & just HODL in your own hardware wallet. This is a painful reminder of buying 1.83663 BTC on March 9, 2020 for only $14,809.63 Current value? $213,539.60 I lost it, sent 0.85 BTC to @okx to trade - gone Sent 1.0160995 to @CelsiusNetwork - gone! I never knew what I had & squandered it. Take self-custody & don’t play stupid games with Bitcoin like I did image
Just paid in Bitcoin for some amazing high quality beef jerky from the Bitcoiner @albertahodl Ingredients: beef, salt, pepper & seasonings βœ… No mRNA vaccines βœ… No growth hormones βœ… Gluten free Comes in two flavours… black pepper original Thanks to @Colin Sullivan for the tip. image
The dips keep dipping & dirty fiat keeps sucking. Thanks @Bitcoin Well for the ultra easy non-custodial e-transfer buys. image
Well @coingecko didn’t make my day…. Just checked my portfolio on ALT coins I purchased from 2021-2022 before I started buying only Bitcoin. To reach ATH again, my sad bag needs: - one coin needs 100x - one 50x - two coins ~42x - two coins ~20x - all need at least 10x or more If I didn’t chase yield, DeFi & rotate to these assets in 2020-2022 & just bought Bitcoin I would be up 37x Don’t waste your time & be stupid like I was. Stack sats, take full self-custody & chill. Watch as fiat continues to collapse against Bitcoin. image
Want a #Bitcoin programmable clock that does more than 6 digits & can also display @Excellion notation for under $60? You need an Ulanzi TC001 Smart Pixel Clock. I found mine cheapest on AliExpress but you can also get them from Amazon or directly from ulanzi.com I got mine for only $40 USD shipped. How to install this? Here's a quick guide: πŸ‘‡ Step 1: Awtrix Opensource Firmware (flash the TC001) blueforcer.github.io/awtrix3/#/flas… Use the USB cable & plug the clock into your computer. Turn on the clock then flash & erase it. Once flashed, connect to the device to configure the WiFi to your network. Step 2: Once restarted, browse to your device IP (use AngryIP scanner to find it) in your browser & change your IP to a static IP. Step 3: Add the Bitcoin icons: Browse to your static IP & upload these icons into your ICONS folder github.com/fti7/awtrix_bi… Step 4: Install Node-RED in a VM or @umbrel If you have #proxmox, use the @TProxmox helper scripts to download the LXC. community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVE/scri… In @umbrel install Node-RED Once Node-Red is running, Right Burger Menu -> Manage Palette -> install: node-red-contrib-throttle) Step 5: Node-RED Bitcoin flow by @icegeist gist.github.com/fti7/f96a434bd… Step 6: Double click on the "http request" block & point the URL to your static IP Ulanzi Step 7: Click Deploy to deploy your Bitcoin flow & you're live! NOTE: You can change between running using @Excellion Million Notation or 6 digit pricing by changing on line in the "Bitcoin APP" in flow. Look for "let btc_m_notation = false" if you want 6 digit prices or True if you want million notation. FYI - I created two different flows, one using digits & the second flow using million notation. This way both are displayed one after each other.
I see A LOT of #Bitcoiners asking for help to build your own #Bitcoin templates using #DATUM from @ocean_mining on @umbrel with your #Bitaxe If you want to solo mine #Bitcoin & create your own templates, here is how to do it: πŸ‘‡ First steps: Ensure your #Umbrel is set to a StaticIP. To do that: STEP 1: =========================== UmbrelOS menu Settings - scroll down to the bottom Advanced settings - click open Terminal - click open umbrelOS - click "Run custom commands in umbrelOS sudo nmtui enter your password STEP 2 =========================== Edit a connection Under Ethernet select: Wired connection 1 (if using a wired connection). Tab to Edit Change IPv4 to "Manual" Address: change to your desired IP i.e. 192.168.1.21/24 Gateway: add your local network gateway IP DNS servers: add your DNS servers add an "X" in "Require IPv4 addressing for this connection Tab to save & exit STEP 3: =========================== In settings select "Restart" & click on the button. STEP 4: =========================== Download & sync Bitcoin Knots 100% first (might take a day or two STEP 5: =========================== Download DATUM DATUM will not start until Knots is synced 100% STEP 6: ============================== UmbrelOS menu Settings - scroll down to the bottom Advanced settings - click open Terminal - click open umbrelOS - click "Run custom commands in umbrelOS STEP 7: Edit the .json ============================== # From terminal do the following cd ./umbrel/app-data/datum/data/settings/ nano datum_gateway_config.json # add your bitcoin wallet in "pool_address" (do not remove the "" marks) # modify your tags as desired - your name, pool, handle or anything you want # under datum "pool_host" (do not remove the "" marks) # under "pooled_mining_only": change this to false save the file CTRL O (hit enter) exit CTRL X (hit enter) close the Terminal screen STEP 8: Restart DATUM ============================== At UmbrelOS menu, right click on the DATUM icon & choose Restart Once DATUM has restarted, it will load the DATUM gateway. STEP 9: ============================== Then just point your ASIC to stratum+tcp://your_datum_node_ip:23334 Done! You're solo mining & building your own templates the way #SatoshiNakamoto envisioned. #BitcoinKnots #Umbrel #solomining #BTC #Bitaxe
In light of the #Bitcoin solo mining win on @Public_Pool_BTC via @umbrel I had someone ask how to add a custom TAG rather than the default "Public Pool on Umbrel" - can it be done? YES, easy... but remember good OPsec... if you want to say it's a #Bitaxe or something that mined the block do this: πŸ‘‡ STEP 1: =========================== UmbrelOS menu Settings - scroll down to the bottom Advanced settings - click open Terminal - click open umbrelOS - click "Run custom commands in umbrelOS STEP 2: =========================== cd ./umbrel/app-data/public-pool nano docker-compose.yml STEP 3: =========================== scroll down to edit the line: - POOL_IDENTIFIER="Public Pool on Umbrel" Inside the "" change it to whatever you want CTRL O (to save) CTRL X (to exit) close the settings page STEP 4: =========================== right click on the desktop PublicPool app & restart it. That's all... if you win a solo block it will say whatever you changed your new TAG to. If you're happy with my tutorial, I gladly accept #LightningNetwork ⚑️ zaps
What history! Thanks #SatoshiNakamoto for #Bitcoin & the joy to be part of this historic moment. πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³ Block 888888 Let’s go pleb miners! πŸš€#Bitcoin #bitaxe image
