Growing up, we took a bag of chicken breasts, sautéed them with a jar of Chicken tonight and served it on a bed of minute rice.
Doesn't sound like much but it was a welcomed change from the weekly hamburger helper.
Tonight I made the French dish that inspired my childhood meal (Chicken Fricassee) and told my son the story.
He only responded with one question,
"Dad, what's hamburger helper?"
Times have changed, for the better of course.🤣
