I attempted a wifi card swap in this HP Compaq Mini 700. I removed the stock Broadcom BCM94312HMG and added an Atheros AR5BHB92 (as the AR9280 chipset is supported by #OpenBSD and can do dual band).
Much to my surprise it refuses to boot now. Vendor lock-in is a terrible thing.
Any hints for bypassing such checks?

If you use #OpenBSD on an older #intel #Apple Macbook then this is the time to send some thank-you donations to developers who finally managed to hunt down and fix the awful ACPI timeout bug:
Thank the Lord I haven't yet turned the soldering iron on but I have turned the power supply off before this tinker joined me.
Although #APT77 are 5V tolerant, it is best to be safe.

Does anyone know how I can tell doas under #OpenBSD to allow my user to bring up an OpenVPN tunnel? Just adding the path to the command with
permit nopass setenv { PATH } myuser as root cmd /usr/local/sbin/openvpn
does not seem to do the trick, something about creating interfaces methinks.
What is the way to do this?
